Covid-19/Coronavirus update on Hokisa

As all of you know that we are confronted by the Covid-19/ Corona virus that has hit the world and caused unprecedented levels of concern.

With a few additional cases of Coronavirus cases is being report almost everyday, a National state of Disaster has been declared in South Africa, so naturally the anxiety level are increasing.

Thankfully, no Hokisa child, staff or any one affiliated with Hokisa has acquired this illness as yet. Hokisa is taking all necessary preventative and precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the Covid-19 virus. We have initiated steps to ensure precautions possible to prevent exposure to this virus.

Hand washing, hands sanitizing, keeping a safe social distance…are some of the few things that has become part of every child and adult`s habits at Hokisa.

As part of prevention and contingency plan, the Department of Social Development has issued instructions to all Child and Youth Care Centres to suspend all visitations for the next 30 days. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
