Our new website is currently in progress…

We are excited to share the successful completion of the playground renovation at HOKISA, made possible through the generous support of the Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation.

The upgraded space now features brand-new synthetic grass, refurbished jungle gym and swing structures, and a vibrant new slide that has quickly become a favourite among the children. In addition, the Eco Garden Benches are made from recycled plastic materials, offering a durable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional wooden furniture. They are weather-resistant, easy to maintain, and designed to last for many years without the need for regular repainting or treatment. Their installation marks another step in HOKISA’s ongoing efforts to promote eco-conscious practices and environmental education among the children.

Placed strategically around the garden, the benches have quickly become favourite spots for relaxation, reading, and conversation. Children enjoy sitting together after school, sharing stories, or simply taking in the fresh air surrounded by the greenery. Staff members and visitors also use them for small meetings or quiet reflection, making the garden a truly multi-purpose and welcoming space.

The impact has already been clear: The new benches complement the recent playground renovations beautifully, creating a more inviting and cohesive outdoor environment. Together, these improvements continue to foster a sense of pride, belonging, and well-being among everyone at HOKISA.

While the playground renovation at HOKISA was completed successfully, the project did experience a few challenges along the way. These obstacles required flexibility, patience, and creative problem-solving from the team to ensure the project’s completion without compromising quality. Despite these challenges, the project was completed to a high standard and within an acceptable timeframe. The experience also provided valuable lessons in project coordination and supplier management, which will be beneficial for future improvement initiatives at HOKISA.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Regine Sixt Children’s Aid Foundation for helping us create a space where children can thrive.
